Emotional Stability in Uncertain Times
Deep Practice. Integrated Insight. Wisdom as Default.
3 Day Immersive Retreat | 3 – 5 April 2026
About the retreat
Each year over Easter, we pause and take a step back. Not to escape the world, but to look more carefully at the mind that meets it.
And each year, the same quiet truth becomes clearer: clarity, wisdom, and compassion can be our default response to a chaotic world.
More than coping strategies, this retreat is a close look at the mechanics of our minds and emotions. To understand why we overreact and how we can get our emotions working for us and see for ourselves that calm and clarity aren’t manufactured but uncovered through practice.
Over three days of guided meditation and discussion, we’ll explore how Buddhist insight and modern psychology converge on the same truth: we can know and disentangle ourselves from the deeper causes of suffering and distress.
Explore why we:
- snap at people we care about
- carry others’ stress as our own
- sometimes treat ourselves more harshly than we would others
For those who’ve attended previous Easter retreats, you’ll start in familiar territory and deepen the foundations you’ve already laid. It’s about refining the clarity and stillness you’ve been uncovering.
For those joining us for the first time, the retreat remains fully accessible. You’ll receive clear, structured guidance, not just abstract philosophy, and practical tools you can apply immediately in real situations.
The format remains contemplative and spacious.
There will be silence, guided meditation, teaching, and discussion.
This is a pause for stillness and clarity to carry into the rest of your year.
meet our retreat leader
Comfortable in a research lab or a mountain monastery, Corey Jackson’s work bridges scientific and contemplative traditions.
He completed a PhD exploring how traditional Buddhist theory and practice address the underlying causes of anxiety and depression. His work builds on a degree in Psychology and Sanskrit, along with more than twenty years of studying and translating Buddhist philosophy from Tibetan into English.
Corey teaches meditation and works with people seeking greater emotional stability, integrating classical Buddhist insight with contemporary psychological understanding in a grounded, practical way. He continues researching Buddhist approaches to modern mental health challenges.
Before turning fully toward this work, he was a jazz musician in Toronto, Canada.
