This comprises the fourth to sixth in a series of six evenings introducing the benefits of retreat. Lama Zopa Rinpoche stresses the urgency of westerners engaging in long retreat on Shamatha and the Lam Rim and to gain the realisations of the path up to Buddhahood, and ensure that the Buddha Dharma is sustained in the world into the future.

Ven Chokyi is Spiritual Program Coordinator for VI and one of our esteemed teachers. She is also Director of Liberation Prison Project, a social services project affiliated to FPMT that offers spiritual advice and teachings, as well as books and materials, to people in prison interested in exploring, studying and practising Buddhism. Ven Chokyi is a member of the Women’s Interfaith Network in Sydney.
