The Heart Sutra is a text of central importance to millions of Buddhists and one we recite regularly before teachings. We are delighted to announce that Geshe Samten has kindly accepted to give a commentary on this classic Buddhist discourse. This powerful sutra, taught by the Buddha, contains the essence of the Perfection of Wisdom Sutras. This short text presents the Buddha’s unique teaching on “no-self” or “emptiness,” and holds the key to complete liberation from suffering and cyclic existence. Geshela will unpack the practice of developing insight into this fundamental reality, where nothing exists in complete isolation and independence.
Dates & time: Thursdays, 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 November; 7, 14, December 7:00-9:00pm. Discussion group @ 6.00pm
