The practice of mindful awareness can help us relate differently to those strong, difficult emotions confronting us in our life. Through applying the R.A.I.N. protocol for mindfulness (i.e., recognise, acknowledge, inquire, and nurture), we learn to skilfully channel our attention to both engage these overwhelming emotional responses and work with their underlying conditions to transform them into our allies for a happier and healthier emotional life.
