The greatest danger about the past is its becoming our future. The Will to Awaken—the first of the “Three Principal Aspects of the Buddhist Path”—is the determination not to allow this to happen. It requires a re-evaluation of many of our unexamined assumptions about ourselves and our relation to life and how we might go about changing both for the better.

In this workshop, through talks, meditations and discussions we’ll explore two essential aspects of the Will to Awaken: karma—the mechanism for self-directed change—and dukkha—embracing life’s problems as a path leading to change.
