About the Teaching
In this meditation course we will look into the contemplative practices for cultivating loving-kindness, compassion, appreciative joy and equanimity. These four qualities are known as the sublime abidings of the heart (brahmavihara in Sanskrit) as their presence in our heart and mind greatly transform our experiences and relationships with self and others. When developed, they can transcend artificial boundaries we have unconsciously placed upon ourselves and become the basis for our heartfelt connections with all aspects within ourselves as well as with other beings, which in itself is a form of happiness and contentment.
All are welcome; no prerequisite required.
Each session consists of a mixture of explanations, guided meditations and time for discussion or Q&A.
