About the Teaching
Appreciation is a quality of mind that we can cultivate in our daily life and through meditation. By learning to look at our life experiences through different lenses, we can discover positive feelings of joy, gratitude and appreciation toward our seemingly ordinary life. These can uplift our spirit, help us overcome the negative ruminating thoughts, and guard against that downward spiral towards darker, more depressing states of mind. Although it is not a panacea for all ills, it is a valuable practice for self-care and caring for others.
This workshop features several sessions of guided meditations with explanations and time for Q&A or discussion.
All are welcome; no prerequisite needed.
